LUMINOUS MYSTERIES on Thursday
A Prayerful Journey with Jesus Through His Public Ministry
Opening Prayers
Sign of the Cross
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Marys (Repeat three times.)
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.
The First Luminous Mystery: The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan
Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist.
Reflection
Dear Jesus, although You were without sin, You humbly allowed Yourself to be baptized by John, showing us the importance of baptism and the new life You offer us through this holy sacrament. As You emerged from the waters, the heavens opened, the Holy Spirit descended upon You, and the voice of God the Father proclaimed, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
Lord Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Help me to recognize Your light in my life and to hear Your voice above the distractions of this world. Give me the wisdom to discern Your will, the courage to follow where You lead, and the humility to surrender my life completely to You. Renew the grace of my own baptism within me, that I may live each day as a beloved child of God and faithfully bear witness to Your love.

The Second Luminous Mystery: The Wedding Feast at Cana
Jesus performs His first public miracle, changing water into wine at the request of His Mother.
Reflection
Dear Jesus, at the wedding feast of Cana, Your Mother noticed a need and lovingly brought it to Your attention. Though You told her that Your hour had not yet come, You performed Your first public miracle, changing water into wine—and not just any wine, but the finest wine.
Through Mary's loving intercession, You transformed an ordinary situation into an extraordinary blessing. What a beautiful reminder that nothing is too small to bring before You and that Your grace can transform even the most difficult circumstances.
Dear Jesus, help me to grow in trust and to recognize the loving role Your Mother plays in leading me closer to You. May I turn to Mary with confidence, knowing that she always directs my heart toward You her Son. You know the deepest desires of my heart, the sorrows I carry, and the struggles I face. Just as You transformed water into wine, I ask You to transform my sorrow into joy, my weaknesses into opportunities for grace, and my failures into lessons that draw me closer to You. Teach me to trust in You and to believe that You can bring forth blessings beyond anything I could imagine.
Just like the empty jars at the wedding feast, through Mary's intercession, help me to always bring my emptiness to You so that I may be filled to overflowing with joy and peace and charity that only come from You.

The Third Luminous Mystery: The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God
Jesus calls us to repentance, proclaims the Kingdom of God, and invites us to conversion.
Reflection
Dear Jesus, You left the glory of Heaven to come among us, to teach us the truth, and to show us the way to eternal life. You willingly embraced suffering and sacrifice out of Your infinite love for us. Through Your words, Your miracles, and Your example, You revealed the merciful heart of the Father and invited us to turn away from sin and follow You.
Lord, thank You for the immeasurable gift of Your love and for every sacrifice You made for my salvation. Help me to loosen my attachment to the things of this world and to place my heart on what truly matters: loving God, serving others, and growing in holiness. Give me the humility to listen when You speak, the wisdom to understand Your teachings, and the courage to put Your words into practice.
When the world distracts me or leads me away from You, gently call me back. Help me to recognize Your voice in prayer, in Scripture, and in the needs of those around me. May my life become a reflection of Your Kingdom, filled with mercy, compassion, forgiveness, and love. Lead me always toward the joy of eternal life with You.

The Fourth Luminous Mystery: The Transfiguration of Jesus
Jesus is transfigured in glory before Peter, James, and John on Mount Tabor.
Reflection
Dear Jesus, You led Peter, James, and John up the mountain, where Your divine glory was revealed in dazzling light. Moses and Elijah appeared beside You, and the voice of God the Father spoke once again: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him.”
The disciples were overwhelmed by the beauty of Your presence and longed to remain there. Yet You had brought them to the mountain for a purpose: to strengthen their faith before the suffering and sorrow they would soon witness during Your Passion.
Lord Jesus, You knew the pain that awaited You, yet You also thought of those who loved You and prepared them for the trials ahead. What a beautiful reminder of Your tenderness and Your understanding of our human weakness.
When I face suffering, uncertainty, or fear, help me to remember the glory of Your presence and to trust that You are with me even when I cannot understand Your plan. Strengthen my faith so that I may remain faithful to You in every circumstance. Help me never to deny You through my words or actions, but instead to recognize Your presence in those I encounter each day.
Teach me to be patient with myself as I grow in holiness, humble enough to seek Your guidance, and courageous enough to follow You even when the path is difficult. May Your light guide me through every darkness until I one day behold Your glory in Heaven.

The Fifth Luminous Mystery: The Institution of the Holy Eucharist
Jesus gives us the gift of the Eucharist at the Last Supper.
Reflection
Dear Jesus, on the night before You suffered and died for us, You gave us one of the greatest gifts of Your love: the Most Holy Eucharist. Knowing that You would soon return to the Father, You chose to remain with us sacramentally, giving us Your Body and Blood as our spiritual nourishment and the source of our strength.
At the Last Supper, You shared this sacred meal with Your disciples, even knowing that Judas would betray You and Peter would deny You. Yet You continued to love them and offered Yourself freely. Your love does not depend upon our perfection; You call us to come to You, to receive Your grace, and to allow You to transform our hearts.
Dear Jesus, thank You for the gift of Your real presence in the Holy Eucharist. Deepen my faith in this sacred mystery and help me to approach You with reverence, gratitude, and love. When I receive You in Holy Communion, may my heart be open to Your transforming grace.
Teach me to love others as You love me, to treat every person with dignity and compassion, and to forgive even when it is difficult. Help me to recognize Your presence in those who are suffering, lonely, or forgotten. May the love I receive from You at the altar overflow into every part of my life. Jesus, remain with me, strengthen me, and help me to become more like You each day.

Closing Prayers
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins and Mother. To thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Final Prayer
Let us pray.
O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
