Have you heard about a priest who has stigmata of Our Lord Jesus? I first heard about Fr. Sudac about 15 years now. He came to visit New York City, and he celebrated Mass and a healing service at St. Patrick church in the city. I could not believe somebody with Stigmata like St. Padre Pio and St. Francis, in my lifetime, is in my neighborhood.
So I went to his mass, I got there so early so I can seat close to him and see it for myself. I remember clearly seeing a cross on his forehead, but still a bit far. When I went to receive the Eucharist, I looked really closely, he might have thought I was weird, but I really saw a skin wounded, very wrinkled in the form of a cross on his forehead and is a part of his skin. I was speechless. To see what you hear in stories and read in books, with my own eyes, I will never forget it. Jesus is truly ALIVE and lives among us. He had bandages on his wrists, and I heard that on Friday his wounds bleed.
He then prayed for the sick, and towards the end, he mentioned people who healed; not by their names but their ages and conditions of their sicknesses. Another thing I can’t forget, he preached about love, like simple ways of loving God and others, it felt like he was in tears begging us to love and how important it is. He also has a gift of looking into the heart when confessing. A friend of mine told she took a translator to hear his confession, I would do the same if I have to, but he speaks some English or a lot, so we don’t have to worry.
Recently I was in Medjugorje, and I heard that he is giving his last public retreat Nov. 30-Dec. 01, at last for now that is how things are. I didn’t want to miss this chance, and I didn't want you to miss it either. So please consider joining me to this pilgrimage.
