I have a special guest coming to a 1-Day Retreat at Our Lady of Hope.
Fr. John Baptist Bashobora-- a well respected global theologian and healing priest from Uganda who a rare gift of healing and knowledge. I have been praying about having a retreat with Fr. Bashobora for a long time-- and now it is happening!
"Fr. Bash", as he is affectionately called by his friends, travels around the world because of his incredible healing gift God has given him. This good priest reminds me of the late Fr. Ubald, who many of you know well. Both priests had/have this remarkable gift of healing and knowing who was healed, but they never claimed it was their own, it is Jesus who heals through them, and indeed Jesus does wonders through them.
My dear Polish priest friend shared that Father Bashobora was once visiting Poland and he happened to touch a young girl who was blind and her eyes opened. Then he prayed for a priest who in a coma from an accident and he woke up and was healed instantly. The news spread like wildfire and he was quickly re-invited back to Poland, and this time a whole stadium was waiting for him, more than 40,000 thousand people attended. Hundreds of stories of people who were healed were reported, and stories of some who had been praying for loved ones in the hospital, who had been pronounced dead during that day, came back to life. There were some reports of 20-40 cases of such miracles.
I grew up with my mom who had chronic asthma, anytime she had a crisis, we were all sick, I would have done anything to relive my mom. I daydreamed what a gift it would be for the whole family, if mom was healed. It is for that reason I invited Fr. Ubald in the past to USA, God bless his soul, and it is for that reason I am inviting Fr. Bash. My mom is in heaven now, but I hope and pray that another family or another life will be touched by Fr. Bash’s gift and be healed.It will be the joy of all those who love that person. Bring somebody who needs this most and start praying now. It is not Fr. Bash who heals but Jesus, however He hears a contrite heart and love the humble. Please join me aand Fr. Bashobora on October 12, at Our Lady of Hope.

Our Lady of Hope Catholic Retreat Center in Osyka, Mississippi, just north of Kentwood, Louisiana. We recommend renting a car and it's a straight shot from the New Orleans Airport up Hwy 55 and takes approximately 1:20 minutes.
If the rooms at Our Lady of Hope are sold out, we recommend HOTELS in the McComb, Ms. area. There is Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Baymont by Wyndam, and Holiday Inn Express in McComb, Mississippi. Local residents are encouraged to commute if they would like.
